The following is a Company Announcement issued by Bank of Valletta p.l.c. pursuant to the Listing Rules, issued by the Listing Authority:

Resignation of Chief Financial Officer

The Bank hereby announces that its Chief Financial Officer, Ms Elvia George, has retired from the Bank with effect from 5 January 2021, and accordingly has relinquished her position as Chief Financial Officer.

The Bank is currently in the process of recruiting a new Chief Financial Officer. Pending the engagement of a new Chief Financial Officer, Ms Marisa Abdilla will assume the role of interim Chief Financial Officer, subject to regulatory approval.

Ms Marisa Abdilla, who resides at 32, "L'Orangerie", Triq Merino, Lija LJA1165 is a certified Public Accountant and has been deployed at the Bank's Finance Department since 1999. She was appointed as Head Finance in 2012 and as Executive Finance in 2017.

There are no matters concerning Ms George and Ms Abdilla that warrant any disclosure in terms of the Listing Rules.

The Bank thanks Ms George for her valid contribution to the Bank and to the Board of Directors and wishes her every success in her future endeavours.
