COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT

The following is a Company Announcement issued by Bank of Valletta p.l.c. pursuant to the Listing Rules, issued by the Listing Authority:

Reference is made to Company Announcement No. 388 issued by the Bank on 28 April 2020 informing the market of the appointment of Dr Gordon Cordina as the Bank's new Chairman, subject to a six-month cooling-off period and also subject to regulatory approval.

In this regard, the Bank announces that the six-month cooling-off period referred to above has now elapsed and regulatory approval has been successfully obtained for Dr Gordon Cordina as the Bank's Chairman.

During Dr Cordina's six-month cooling-off period, Mr Alfred Lupi served as the Bank's Interim Chairman. Mr Lupi will henceforth be relinquishing his Interim Chairman position, whilst retaining his Directorship position within the Bank.

The Bank would like to extend its thanks to Mr Alfred Lupi for assuming this role, and for his valid input and contribution during said period as Interim Chairman. The Bank also welcomes on board its new Chairman Dr Gordon Cordina.
