COVID-19 – Information to the Market (2)

QUOTE

The Company refers to Company Announcement Ref: 033/2020 [COVID-19 – Information to the Market], by virtue of which it informed the market of the various measures it is taking in the wake of COVID-19.

The public is reminded that, in terms of Legal Notice (LN) 95 of 2020, retail and commercial activities deemed "non-essential" were ordered to close with effect from 23 March 2020. While the Group's supermarket operations were unaffected by this measure and remained open to the public: (i) the outlets operated by the Group's third party tenants located at Pama Shopping Village and the Pavi Shopping Complex and classified as "non-essential"; and (ii) the Group's Zara and Zara Home franchise outlets were, as of the said date, closed until further notice.

The Company reports, however, that pursuant to the Government's press release of 1 May 2020, and the publication of LN 170 and LN 172 of 2020 on 2 May 2020, the relevant commercial outlets affected by LN 95 of 2020 have reopened to the public as of 4 May 2020.

The Group remains committed to ensuring the highest standards of care towards its employees and customers. All outlets operate strictly in line with the directives issued by the public authorities.

The Board of Directors will keep the situation under constant review and will issue further announcements as and when required.
