The following is a Company Announcement issued by Bank of Valletta p.l.c. pursuant to the Listing Rules, issued by the Listing Authority:

Resignation of Director

The Bank hereby announces that Mr Paul V Azzopardi will be relinquishing his position of Non-Executive Director of Bank of Valletta plc with effect from 15 February 2020.

There is no matter concerning Mr Azzopardi that warrants any disclosure in terms of the Listing Rules.

The Bank thanks Mr Azzopardi for his valid contribution on the Board of Directors and wishes him every success in his future endeavours.

Election of Directors

The Bank also announces that following Mr Azzopardi's resignation there will be three (3) vacancies for three (3) Non-Executive Directors during the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for May 2020. No rotation of directors will accordingly be necessary. Pursuant to Article 25 of the Articles of Association of the Bank, notice has been issued in the newspapers inviting shareholders to nominate candidates for the election of directors of the Bank which will be held during the forthcoming AGM.
