Company Secretary

Mr Alfred Fabri will retire from the position of Company Secretary of International Hotel Investments p.l.c. (IHI) with effect from 30 June 2019.

Mr Fabri, who has been Company Secretary of IHI since its inception, will continue to support the Company in an advisory role and also remain Company Secretary of Corinthia Palace Hotel Company Limited.

Mr Jean-Pierre Schembri will be appointed Company Secretary of IHI on 1 July 2019. Mr Schembri, who joined IHI in 2018, is a graduate in European Studies from the University of Malta and holds a Masters in European Politics and Administration from The College of Europe in Bruges.

Between 2005 and 2007 he occupied senior positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Office of the Prime Minister. Between 2007 and 2012 he served at the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU in Brussels, where he also occupied the post of Chef de Cabinet. Between 2012 and 2018, Mr Schembri joined the European Union Civil Service where he occupied the senior management role of Head of Communications and Stakeholders Unit at the European Asylum Support Office (EASO). While at EASO, Mr Schembri also headed the board secretariat of the agency.

Mr Schembri holder of ID 573281 (M) resides at 103, Hortensia, Main Street, Mellieha and there are no matters concerning him which require disclosure in terms of Listing Rule 5.20.5 to Listing Rule 5.20.9.
