The following is a Company Announcement issued by Bank of Valletta p.l.c. (the Bank) pursuant to the Listing Rules issued by the Listing Authority

The Bank refers to the current proceedings instituted against it by the curators of the bankruptcy of the Deiulemar Group and which are taking place in front of the Courts of Torre Annunziata in Italy, and announces that it has now filed proceedings against Italy before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg with a view to safeguard its fundamental right to a fair hearing in this matter in terms of the European Convention on Human Rights.
