Appointment of Company Secretary

The Board of Directors announces that Dr Catherine Formosa has resigned from Company Secretary of Bank of Valletta p.l.c. and will be joining a law firm.

The Board of Directors has resolved to appoint, with effect from 4 April 2016, Dr Ruth Spiteri Longhurst, as Company Secretary of Bank of Valletta and its subsidiaries, Valletta Fund Management Limited and Valletta Fund Services Limited. Dr Spiteri Longhurst will also serve as Company Secretary of the Bank's Associate Company MSV Life p.l.c. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Dr Spiteri Longhurst graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2001 and obtained Master of Arts in Financial Services in 2004. Dr Ruth Spiteri Longhurst has been employed with the Bank for the past 14 years and at present holds the role of Executive Head, Compliance.

There are no matters concerning Dr Spiteri Longhurst requiring disclosure under Listing Rules 5.20.5 to 5.20.9.
