The following is a Company Announcement issued by Bank of Valletta p.l.c. pursuant to the Malta Financial Services Authority Listing Rules:

Bank of Valletta p.l.c. announces the appointment of Joseph Agius as Chief Technology Officer.

Joseph Agius joined the Bank in October 1985 and he is currently the Executive Head responsible for Information Technology. Throughout his career at the Bank, he has held a number of senior key executive positions at the IT Division and was actively involved in the implementation of a number of key projects. He holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Reading as well as an MBA in eBusiness from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business.

Joseph Agius resides at 'Villa Marija', Triq il-Qortin, Mellieha.

The above appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

There are no matters concerning Joseph Agius requiring disclosure under Listing Rules 5.20.5 to 5.20.9.

Victor Denaro, who currently occupies the role of Chief Officer IT, will be taking up early retirement. For a period of time, he will however continue to act as a consultant to the Bank in relation to certain IT projects.
