Simonds Farsons Cisk plc announces the appointment of Mr Claudio Farrugia residing at 133, Troldhaugen, Triq il-Hafur, Attard as General Manager of Quintano Foods Limited, a subsidiary of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, with effect from 12th March, 2013.

Mr Farrugia, an MBA graduate from Henley Management College, has served in senior management positions and has been involved in various change management initiatives across a number of organisations.

Claudio Farrugia started his career with Marsovin as a brand manager and afterwards occupied the post of Managing Director of an import and distribution company of a fast moving consumer goods company within the Magro Brothers Group. In 1992, he joined V.J. Salomone Marketing Limited and occupied the post of General Manager responsible for the Procter & Gamble business in Malta.

In 2009, he joined Enemalta for a brief period as a Business & Strategy Manager and in 2010 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Employment & Training Corporation.

Mr Farrugia will surely bring to the Company a wealth of experience which will benefit the successful imported food arm of the Farsons Group.

No matter concerning Mr Farrugia requires disclosure under Listing Rules 5.20.5 to 5.20.9.
