For many, the month of September marks the return to school or work after the restful days of vacation and summer holidays, but for me, there has been little time to rest in the recent weeks with so much happening through August and into September.

August saw 5th Planet Games extend our longstanding association with the team at "Play'n Go" with the launch of the new online slots game Hugo Legacy in recognition of the Hugo brand reaching its 30th birthday; Hugo forms part of the rich heritage of 5th Planet Games and we were delighted to celebrate with him.

For me, August also meant another busy week at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The event pulled a crowd of 320,000 people from over 100 countries (compared to 265,000 last year), and these numbers show just how much a part of our lives video games have become. I spent most of the week in the trade halls looking at new games, meeting developers and talking to various supply chain partners; I left Cologne with some exciting opportunities to pursue over the coming months.

Finally at the very end of August, I was pleased to release an H1 report that, graphically, better represents the high-quality and exciting IP that we are now working with and even more importantly presented a profitable business.

Into September and after many months of hard work we were finally able to close our co-investment deal in Safagilm ehf. Sagafilm is widely recognized as being one of the leading and longest established production companies in Europe with a long track record of successful TV and Film output. For 5th Planet Games this deal represents an outstanding opportunity to diversify into a new and dynamic market with an outstanding partner.

September also saw the Early Access launch of The Walking Dead: Betrayal, the new third-person multiplayer action game in the popular social deception genre, which has been co-financed by 5th Planet Games.

Finally in September we saw our partner Skybound Entertainment complete the final part of their investment in 5th Planet Games (Tranche 4) and thereby fully honor the commitments they gave in the investment agreement of September 2021. It has been a busy few weeks for sure, but there's no sign of the pace dropping-off as we head into Q4…

We are all looking forward to the release of Invincible Presents: Atom Eve, the all-new RPG video game being developed by Terrible Posture Games and based on the award-winning and critically acclaimed series of comic books and adult animated television series Invincible.

Finally, before the end of the year, I have committed to work on the company website and have a site that better reflects the dynamic nature of our business, the profitable growth that we are seeing and the amazing, world-class IP that we are now working with.
