MELBOURNE IT LTD (ASX: MLB) Resignation of Directors

Melbourne IT (ASX: MLB) wishes to advise that non-executive directors, Ms Gail Pemberton AO and Mr John Armstrong, have announced their intention to resign as directors of the company. The resignations will be effective from 29 May 2018.

Both Ms Pemberton and Mr Armstrong have extensive commitments and they have decided that they need to rebalance their respective Board portfolios.

A formal process has commenced to find a new Chair for the Board of Melbourne IT. The company is hopeful that this process will conclude by July. Following the AGM, Andrew Macpherson will be appointed to the role of interim Chair until a new Chair commences.

Simon Martin, who recently joined the Board of Melbourne IT, has a very strong finance background in both investment banking and as a listed company CFO. Following the AGM, Mr Martin will replace Mr Armstrong as Chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

The CEO of Melbourne IT, Mr Martin Mercer, expressed his gratitude for the contributions of Ms Pemberton and Mr Armstrong. “Gail and John joined the Board of Melbourne IT at an important time in its recent evolution. Gail provided leadership during a time of considerable change and very effectively managed the transition to a new refreshed board. She also championed the corporate rebranding and the overhaul of the company’s remuneration framework. John has brought focus to the ARMC and an experienced voice to the Board during a time of rapid growth. We are, however, fortunate to have people of the calibre of Andrew Macpherson and Simon Martin to step into key roles as we manage the appointment of a new Chair”, said Mr Mercer.
