MARZOCCHI POMPE: FIRST VOLUNTARY SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2024 UNVEILED

Bologna, 20 May 2025 – Marzocchi Pompe S.p.A. (EGM:MARP), a leading company in the design, production and marketing of high-performance gear pumps and motors (the 'Company'), announces the publication of its first Sustainability Report, prepared on a voluntary basis according to the criteria of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

The document, which refers to the parent company Marzocchi Pompe S.p.A., marks a milestone in the company's journey towards greater transparency and accountability towards its stakeholders, anticipating the adaptation to the new European regulations on non-financial reporting envisaged by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Gabriele Bonfiglioli, CEO of Marzocchi Pompe, has commented: "In a complex and challenging economic environment, we want to reaffirm our commitment to generating lasting and sustainable value. This report is the result of a team effort that has involved the entire organisation and testifies to our increasing focus on integrating ESG principles into our business model. For us, sustainability means guaranteeing long-term stability and security, creating value for our people, partners, territory and the entire community".

Throughout 2024, Marzocchi Pompe has taken numerous initiatives to improve the environmental, social and governance impact of its business.

In terms of energy, the Company recorded a total consumption of 5,896 MWh, of which more than 300 MWh came from renewable sources. About 8% of the electricity used was self-generated thanks to the photovoltaic system installed in 2023 and fully operational since July 2024, with a total production of 490.7 MWh, part of which was fed into the grid and sold. GHG Scope 1 and 2 (marketbased) emissions amounted to 2,198 tons of CO₂ equivalent. Waste production reached 634,410 kg, of which 90% was sent for recycling. The Company plans to implement energy efficiency solutions in the coming years to further reduce energy requirements, such as upgrading machinery.

On a social level, Marzocchi Pompe employed 255 employees, with women accounting for 27.5%. More than 6,700 hours of training have been provided, and almost all staff are employed on permanent (98.4%) and full-time (97.6%) contracts. Employees are listened to and involved through direct communication channels with HR, RSU and RLS, as well as biannual satisfaction surveys. A whistleblowing procedure is also in place, which ensures the confidentiality of whistleblowers and protects them from retaliation. A Company performance evaluation system linked to the performance bonus, which is based on profitability, productivity and quality indicators, has been in place for years.
