The CEO of CECONOMY AG (“Company”), Dr. Karsten Wildberger, has informed the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Company, also in his capacity as Chairman of the Supervisory Board’s Presidential Committee, that he wishes to step down from his position as CEO of the Company by mutual agreement, effective May 5, 2025. Dr. Wildberger intends to accept the offer extended to him by the designated Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, to assume the role of a Federal Minister in the future Chancellor’s Cabinet.

The Supervisory Board of the Company will address Dr. Karsten Wildberger’s request and, if necessary, promptly communicate a succession plan.
