Relevant events to report: Notice of Claim – Case File No. 4825/3/2025

Electrica informs its shareholders that on 23 April 2025, it received notification of the lawsuit filed by Laser CO SRL under case file no. 4825/3/2025, seeking:

• 1. An order directing the Defendant to cease the commercial use of the logos or any variations thereof, as these have been or are being used in violation of Laser CO SRL's proprietary copyright, pursuant to Articles 12, 13, and 188 of Law 8/1996 on copyright and related rights;
• 1. An order requiring the Defendant to pay EUR 450,000 as damages for material loss, in accordance with Article 188(2)(b) of Law 8/1996 on copyright and related rights and Article 14 of Government Emergency Ordinance (GEO) no. 100/2005;
• 1. An order requiring the Defendant to pay EUR 200,000 as moral damages, pursuant to Article 188(2)(b) of Law 8/1996 on copyright and related rights and Article 14 of GEO no. 100/2005;
• 1. An order requiring the Defendant to pay all litigation costs incurred.

Similar claims have also been filed against Electrica Furnizare S.A. and Societatea de Intretinere si Servicii Electrica Serv S.A., both subsidiaries within the Electrica Group, under case file numbers 4823/3/2025 and 4820/3/2025, respectively.

Previously, on 19 November 2020, Laser CO S.R.L. notified the Electrica Group, claiming authorship of the elements forming the logo of Electrica S.A. and its subsidiaries.

Electrica and its subsidiaries rejected Laser CO S.R.L.'s claims. Contrary to Laser CO's assertions, internal investigations determined that the Electrica logo was created through an internal selection process

The new logo for Electrica S.A. was approved by the Board of Directors' Decision no. 4 dated 20 March 2001 and by the General Meeting of Shareholders' Resolution no. 4 dated 12 April 2001.

The trademark was subsequently registered with OSIM (Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks) on 22 October 2002 (filing date) and as an emblem with the National Trade Register Office.

As for the distribution subsidiaries, in consideration of regulatory requirements for separating distribution and supply activities ("unbundling"), a rebranding process occurred in 2016, leading to the change of the original logo.
