Bank of Ireland Group plc - Completion of €125m share buyback programme

Bank of Ireland Group plc ("BOIG") today announces that on 26 June 2023 it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares (the "shares") on Euronext Dublin, from BOIG's broker, J&E Davy ("Davy"). The shares purchased will be cancelled.

These share purchases form part of BOIG's intention to buy back up to €125 million of shares as part of the buy-back programme announced on 09 May 2023 (the "programme").

The Group announces that following the purchase of these shares, the programme has successfully been completed. Since the commencement of the programme, the Group has repurchased 13,690,346 ordinary shares for cancellation at a volume weighted average price of €9.1305 per share for a total consideration of €125m.

In accordance with Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 (including as it forms part of retained EU law in the United Kingdom ("UK") from time to time, including, where relevant, pursuant to the UK's European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 and Market Abuse (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019), a detailed breakdown of individual trades made by Davy on behalf of BOIG as part of the programme is scheduled to this announcement.
