Virtual Health Hospital Utilizes Modern Technologies to Serve Pilgrims

Riyadh, 11 June 2024

The Ministry of Health has announced the participation of the Virtual Health Hospital in serving pilgrims during this year's Hajj season, 1445 AH, by providing a range of virtual healthcare services. This is a result of its commitment to offering the latest modern medical technologies, aiming to meet the needs and requirements of the pilgrims of the Holy Kaaba, in accordance with globally recognized quality standards.

The Ministry confirmed that the hospital is fully prepared to provide specialized medical teams working around the clock in several key service areas. These areas include diverse services such as remote stroke treatment, remote critical care, remote monitoring of cardiac patients using wearable monitoring devices, remote radiology reporting with the assistance of artificial intelligence, and provision of specialized consultations to healthcare facilities. Additionally, the hospital offers virtual support services for medical assistance in emergencies and disasters.

The Ministry of Health added that the hospital provides support and assistance to all hospitals and healthcare centers associated with it in Medina and Mecca, as well as at King Khalid International Airport in Jeddah. These services are accessible through the unified number 937 or through the health application.

It emphasized that the modern technologies employed by the hospital in serving the pilgrims have proven their efficiency and effectiveness in the speed of medical intervention and accuracy of disease diagnosis, enabling timely and appropriate medical decisions and the delivery of necessary therapeutic services efficiently. These efforts align with the Ministry of Health's commitment to harness the latest medical technologies to improve quality and enhance performance in healthcare facilities, serving the pilgrims of the Holy Kaaba, and achieving the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
