("SBSI" or the "Company")

Share Buyback - Closed Period

The Company announces that it has appointed Winterflood Investment Trusts, on an irrevocable basis, to undertake share repurchases ("Share Buyback Engagement"), within certain pre-set parameters, during the closed period in connection with SBSI's annual report and accounts for the period to 30 June 2023 ("Annual Report"). The Share Buyback Engagement will commence on 27 September 2023 and will run until the earlier of the publication of the Annual Report and 30 November 2023.

Any shares purchased pursuant to the Share Buyback Engagement will count towards the Company's general buy back authority of 14.99% of the Company's issued share capital, as approved at the Company's 2022 AGM.

The Company confirms that it currently has no inside information.
