Partial realisation of investment in EOTH Limited

The Company is pleased to announce the sale of its equity investment in EOTH Limited ("EOTH").  The Company has received £7.34 million in cash from the sale (including accrued preference dividends) and, to date, has generated a realised gain over cost over the life of the investment of £8.16 million, being the equivalent of 5.54 pence per share. The Company has retained its loan stock investment in EOTH.

In isolation, the impact of this partial sale on the Company's latest announced unaudited NAV per share of 79.73 pence at 30 September 2022 (adjusted for a dividend of 4.00 pence per share paid on 7 November 2022), would be an increase of 0.60 pence per share. The Company emphasises that the increase in NAV per share from this realisation is in isolation from other changes in the Company's balance sheet, including valuation and other transaction movements in the Company's investment portfolio, that may also have affected the NAV per share at 30 September 2022.

To date, cash proceeds have been received over the life of the investment of £9.54 million, against an original cost of £1.38 million. This represents a return to date for the Company of 6.9 times the original investment cost and an IRR of 23.2% in the eleven years that this investment was held.
