Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Corre Energy, a leader in the origination, development, construction, and commercialisation of Long Duration Energy Storage ("LDES") projects and services that will accelerate decarbonisation and enhance the security and flexibility of energy systems, is pleased to announce the appointment of Iain Balchin as Chief Financial Officer, with immediate effect. The position will initially be a non-board position.

Iain is a highly experienced CFO who has most recently focussed on raising growth capital for a number of rapid growth fintech businesses, both private equity-backed and listed.

Prior to joining Corre Energy, Iain led the listed business XLMedia (AIM: XLM) and was Deputy Group CFO of FTSE 100 wealth manager St James Place (LON: STJ). He has significant experience in fund-raising most recently for crypto payments platform Ramp Network and also at World Remit and Wizink Bank (bond issuance); both European Unicorns, where he served as CFO.
