Result of General Meeting

Scirocco Energy (AIM: SCIR), the AIM investing company targeting attractive assets within the European sustainable energy and circular economy markets, provides the results of the requisitioned General Meeting ("GM") which was held today at 9am. 

All the Resolutions proposed by the Requisitioning Shareholders at the GM were voted down by the requisite majority, as summarised below:

Commenting on the vote, Alastair Ferguson, Non-Executive-Chairman, said:

"The result of this GM demonstrates the support that the Board maintains from the majority of its shareholders to deliver on its strategy. That said, we regret the lack of strategic alignment with certain shareholders and will continue to make every effort to engage constructively with them going forward.  This meeting has given the Board a greater understanding of their issues and we commit to working more intently to address them in order to draw a line under these matters. We thank shareholders for their attendance today and we look forward to demonstrating the value upside that we expect to realise over the long-term as we accelerate our proven, low-risk strategy."
