AGM Trading Update

Peel Hunt Limited today provides the following trading update in relation to the three month period ended 30 June 2022. This statement is issued in advance of the Annual General Meeting which is being held at 12.00pm today.

Revenue for the first quarter ended 30 June 2022 was £22.8m as a result of continuing low levels of market wide capital markets activity.  

During the period we have continued to build our retained corporate client base adding 7 new clients (3 of which are in the FTSE 350) and we have a substantial pipeline of Investment Banking transactions with over 50 mandated deals.

We are delighted that leading intermediaries AJ Bell and Hargreaves Lansdown have selected our REX technology platform (www.rexretail.com) to provide their new retail share offer service, further supporting the democratisation of capital markets by enabling their retail customers to participate in IPOs and ABBs.

We have a diversified and resilient business with a strong balance sheet.  We continue to take a long term view, investing in the business to deliver our strategic priorities including developing our proprietary technology and international capabilities. As a result, the business is very well positioned for when market conditions improve.
