Directorate Changes
Portmeirion Group PLC, the designer, manufacturer and worldwide distributor of high quality homewares under the Portmeirion, Spode, Royal Worcester, Pimpernel, Wax Lyrical and Nambé brands, announces the following changes to the Board of Directors.
Following four years with the Group and two years on the Board, Jacqui Gale, Chief Commercial Officer, is stepping down from the Board to pursue new opportunities. During her time as CCO Jacqui has played a valuable role in helping the business safely navigate the challenges of Covid, whilst developing our brands and leading our home fragrance division, Wax Lyrical.
Bill Robedee, currently on the Board as President of our North American business, and our largest sales market, will also take on the role of Global Sales Director. Bill will take on full responsibility for the Group's global sales teams as we continue driving our growth strategy forward. Growing our brands around the world, with a global approach to customers and product, particularly in online sales channels, will allow us to further leverage the potential of our six global homeware brands.
The above changes take place with immediate effect.
Dick Steele, Non-Executive Chairman, commented: "We would like to thank Jacqui for her significant contribution to the Group and Wax Lyrical in particular and wish her well in the next stage of her career.
We now look to the future and are very pleased that Bill Robedee will assume the role of Global Sales Director. Bill has transformed our US business and under his leadership delivered a record year last year for our US market. We look forward with excitement to the next phase of our journey as we grow our sales footprint whilst leveraging our global teams and infrastructure effectively."
