Non-Executive Director Resignation

LONDON, 1 July 2022

Gemfields advises that Mr Carel Malan tendered his resignation as a Non-Executive Director of the Company on 29 June 2022, with such resignation to take effect from latest 31 December 2022.

Mr Martin Tolcher, Chairman of the Board, commented: "We thank Carel whole-heartedly for his contributions to the Board, especially in his role as Chairman of the Audit Committee, and wish him well in his new role at Glencore - which necessitated his resignation as a Director of the Company.  Carel has kindly agreed to stay on at the Company for up to six months longer so that his current responsibilities can be taken on."
