Appointment of auditor 

Judges Scientific plc, a group involved in the buy and build of scientific instrument businesses, announces the appointment of BDO UK LLP as the Company's external auditor, further to a resolution passed at the Company's AGM on 24th May 2022. The appointment is effective immediately. As disclosed in the 2021 annual report, this follows an extensive tender process performed in 2021 to ensure the Company is aligned with best practice corporate governance guidelines for auditor rotation.

Grant Thornton UK LLP, the incumbent auditor, has confirmed to the Company that there are no circumstances connected with its resignation as auditor that should be brought to the attention of the members or creditors of the Company.

Ralph Elman, Chair of Judges Scientific plc's Audit committee, said: "We would like to thank Grant Thornton UK LLP for their many years of service as Judges Scientific plc's auditor. We look forward to working with BDO UK LLP in the future."
