Exploration
Rookwood Project (100% FRY)
Wet weather in central Queensland has delayed the re-start of field work until the June quarter as the main areas selected for sampling have all been affected by flooding and low lying water.
These areas are mainly in the south of the project area closest to Rockhampton which are further away from the current resource but are in completely unexplored terrain.
The targets as discussed in the previous release (30 January 2013) have been identified through a combination of historic geochemical results and co-incident re-processed geophysical data. Anomalies tend to be clustered around the margins of the Rookwood Volcanics (where the Develin Creek resource lies) suggesting they are in a geological prospective area.
It is expected geochemical sampling will lead to further narrowing of target areas for any future drilling programs.
The results from this sampling program will be available during the June quarter.
Glentanna Project (FRY 100%)
No work was completed at Glentanna during the quarter.
Corporate
In addition to planned exploration work on its tenements the company continues to focus on creating value from its resource assets and pursuing new opportunities in the resource sector, and has reviewed a number of local and international new business opportunities during the quarter.

ABOUT FITZROY :
Fitzroy Resources Ltd is an Australian based mineral exploration company, with two significantly underexplored Queensland base metals projects.
Fitzroy’s main focus is to rapidly evaluate the Rookwood project, containing the promising Develin Creek Resource (estimated 1.75Mt @1.7% Cu, 2.1% Zn, 8.5ppm Ag and 0.24ppm Au). Typical VHMS prospects such as Rookwood, often contain multiple ore systems, with Develin Creek the first system discovered to date in this terrain. Rookwood contains significant potential for the discovery of substantial copper/gold deposits beyond the existing resource.
The smaller Glentanna project, to the south, remains in the early exploration stages, with previous drilling suggesting strong potential. Focus on this project will include further first pass geophysics and drilling.
