US Tax Refund Received

Empyrean Energy plc (EME: AIM) ("Empyrean"), the oil and gas development company with interests in China, Indonesia and the United States, advises that following submission of Empyrean's federal tax return with the United States Internal Revenue Service ("IRS") for the 31 March 2020 financial year, it has now received a tax refund of US$357,702, representing corporate alternative minimum tax credits.
