Notification on death of Director Gary Fitzgerald

With great regret, the Board announces the death of Gary Christopher Fitzgerald, a long standing Non-Executive Director at Eurasia Mining PLC. 

Gary was appointed in June 1999, three years after the Company was admitted to trading and was the Company's longest sitting member of the Board.

Gary initially coordinated investment from Framlington, a Russia focussed fund that was critical at the Company's early stage of development in 1999 and the early 2000's. He continued to make considerable contributions over a further two decades throughout his tenure as a Non-Executive Director. Gary initiated the Company's focus on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) principles in recent years and enjoyed the results of his work with Eurasia recently included in L&G Future World ESG UK Index and ESG focused investment portfolios.

Christian Schaffalitzky, Chairman commented: "When I joined the Company, Gary made me welcome not just as a colleague, but as a friend. We cannot highlight strongly enough his contribution at the early stage of Eurasia's development and recently with our ESG focus, that the Board will strongly commit to in Gary's remembrance."
