Gattaca plc, the specialist Engineering and Technology (IT & Telecoms) recruitment solutions business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracey James as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.  Tracey will Chair the Audit Committee and also become a member of the Remuneration Committee.

As noted in the Group's final results, released on 4 November 2020, Richard Bradford has today stepped down as Non-Executive Director of Gattaca. The Board thank Richard for his valued contribution throughout his nine-year tenure.

Tracey is a Chartered Accountant who has spent 26 years with Grant Thornton, the latter 14 years as an Audit Partner; she was also previously Finance Director of Karl Storz Endoscopy Canada Ltd (1999 to 2000). Tracey was a Non-Executive Director on the Audit & Risk Committee and Pensions Committee for Grant Thornton UK LLP (2014 to 2018) and is currently Chair of Audit & Risk for Activate Learning (2013 to date) and Chair Designate for Audit & Risk at Places for People Group Ltd (2019 to date).    

Following Tracey's appointment, the Audit Committee will comprise Tracey as Chair, with Non-Executive Directors David Lawther and Patrick Shanley as members. David will take over as Chair of the Remuneration Committee with immediate effect, with Patrick and Tracey as the other members of the Committee. David will also join the Nominations Committee, which will also comprise George Materna as chairman and Patrick as the other member.
