Luis Azevedo Appointed VP of The Mining Council of the CNI in Brazil

Jangada Mines plc, a natural resources company, is pleased to announce that Mr. Luis Azevedo, its Non-Executive Director, has been appointed Vice President ('VP') of the nascent Mining Council of the National Confederation of Industry ('CNI') in Brazil.

Including over 27 federations, 1250 unions, and 700,000 industries, the CNI is the major industry association in Brazil.  As VP of its Mining Council, Mr. Luis will address guidelines for lobbying and studies, with a focus on improving the Brazilian mining environment.  Key figures were present at its inaugural conference, including The Minister of Mines Secretary, three congressman and over 25 associations.

Mr. Azevedo is a lawyer and licensed geologist with significant business and mining experience in Brazil. Currently, he is the Managing Partner and founder of FFA Legal, a legal firm headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which is focused solely on natural resources companies. He has a range of experience spanning base metals, fertilisers, industrial minerals, diamonds, and precious metals. He continually works with the upper echelons of all branches of Brazilian government.
