("Breedon" or the "Company")

Holdings in Company

Breedon has been informed by Abicad Holding Limited ("Abicad") that on 18 October 2019 it disposed of 143,963,575 ordinary shares of no par value ("Ordinary Shares") in the issued share capital of the Company, reducing its percentage holding of the number of Ordinary Shares in issue to approximately 9.8%. The total number of Ordinary Shares held by Abicad following the transaction is 164,959,102.

Breedon has also been informed by M1 Cement Holding Limited ("M1 Cement"), a former shareholder of Abicad, that on the same date it acquired 143,963,575 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 8.55% of the number of Ordinary Shares in issue as at the date of this announcement.  The total number of Ordinary Shares held by M1 Cement following the transaction is 143,963,575 Ordinary Shares.

As at the date of this announcement, there are 1,682,878,883 Ordinary Shares in issue, none of which are held in treasury. This figure may therefore be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company.
