BURFORD CAPITAL UPDATE ON MARKET MANIPULATION

Burford Capital Limited ("Burford Capital" or "Burford" or "the Company"), the leading global finance and investment management firm focused on law, today announces that, further to its 12 August 2019 disclosure concerning a preliminary investigation into market manipulation in Burford's shares on 6-7 August 2019, independent expert Professor Joshua Mitts has delivered a report on his principal findings.

Burford has also today sought judicial approval to obtain from the London Stock Exchange further information about orders in Burford shares.
