Trading update

Distil plc (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, Blavod Black Vodka, Jago's Cream Liqueur and Diva Vodka, is pleased to provide an update on trading for the first quarter of its current financial year.

Unaudited year-on-year first quarter (April - June 2019) revenues decreased by 20% and volumes decreased by 15%. 

Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:

"Our UK sales are below last year, which had seen growth of 27% versus the previous year, mainly due to fewer promotional slots and poor weather through the quarter especially when compared to 2018. This affected, in particular, our spiced rum sales. Our Distribution remains strong. We have new promotional activities planned for the remainder of this financial year and our full year forecasts remain in line with current market expectations."
