DRAFT DETERMINATION FOR UNITED UTILITIES

In line with the price review timetable, Ofwat has today published the draft determination for United Utilities Water (UUW) covering the period 2020-25.

The draft determination sets out Ofwat's initial determination of the required costs and service targets for UUW in the next regulatory period. UUW is reviewing the draft determination and will respond to Ofwat by the due date of 24 May 2019.

In Ofwat's initial assessment of company business plans, we were pleased to have achieved fast-track status and to have received the highest grades overall for the sector. Ofwat commended our plan in many areas including customer engagement, affordability and vulnerability, resilience, innovation and confidence and assurance.

We look forward to working constructively with Ofwat through to publication of the final determination on 11 December 2019.
