Transactions in own shares

Man Group plc (the "Company") announces that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 3 3/7 US cents on the London Stock Exchange through J.P. Morgan Securities plc as part of its US$100 million share repurchase programme (originally announced on 22 October 2018, with the increase of the maximum consideration from US$50 million to US$100 million announced on 24 December 2018).

The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.  Following the purchase and settlement of these shares, the Company will hold 64,150,251 of its ordinary shares in treasury and will have 1,545,992,062 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares). (Note: This figure takes into account the transfer from treasury of 2,261,098 ordinary shares on 13 March 2019 pursuant to the vesting of awards under various partner share plans).

Since the commencement of the share repurchase programme, the Company has repurchased 32,874,579 ordinary shares in aggregate at a weighted average price of 140.4759 pence per share.

All transactions under this programme will be published on the Company's website (www.man.com) on a weekly basis.
