Serco Group plc ('Serco' or 'the Company'), the international service company, announces that Mike Clasper, Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, has notified the Board of his intention to stand down as a Director with effect from 31 December 2018.  John Rishton, who was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in 2016, will assume the role of Senior Independent Director and join the Nomination Committee from 1 January 2019.  John is currently Chair of the Audit Committee and is a member of the Group Risk Committee and the Remuneration Committee.  He was formerly Chief Executive of Rolls Royce Group plc, having previously been Chief Executive and President of Royal Ahold NV, and is a Non-Executive Director of Unilever plc, Informa plc and Associated British Ports.  Kirsty Bashforth, who was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Serco in 2017, will replace Mike Clasper as Chair of the Corporate Responsibility Committee with effect from 1 January 2019.
