Hiscox Syndicate 33, 2019 Draft Business Forecast

Hamilton, Bermuda (17 September 2018) -- Hiscox Ltd (HSX:L), the international specialist insurer, announces that it has published today a summary of its draft 2019 business forecast for Syndicate 33. The summary business forecast is available at https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/investors/lloyds-reporting.

At this stage Hiscox envisages a 2019 capacity of £1.4 billion for Syndicate 33 (2018: £1.6 billion), subject to Lloyd's approval. The business remains disciplined as market conditions, while better than previous years, have not improved sufficiently to warrant additional capacity for growth.

Hiscox does not expect the amount of premium written into the Syndicate to decrease year on year.

Hiscox is required to make this public at this early stage of the year due to the participation on its Syndicates by third party capital providers.
