CHIEF EXECUTIVE DESIGNATE JOINS SPECTRIS

3 September 2018 - Further to the announcement on 26 July 2018, Spectris plc (SXS: LSE), the productivity-enhancing instrumentation and controls company ('the Company'), is pleased to confirm that Andrew Heath has today joined the Board of the Company as Chief Executive Designate, ahead of his appointment as Chief Executive on 28 September 2018.

Andrew will work with John O'Higgins during September to ensure a smooth transition.

During August 2018, and ahead of his appointment to the Board, Andrew purchased 21,500 shares in Spectris plc.

In accordance with LR 9.6.15, the Company confirms that no further information is required to be disclosed in respect of Andrew Heath under LR 9.6.13.
