Primary Health Properties PLC (the "Company" or "PHP"), one of the UK's leading investors in modern primary healthcare facilities is pleased to announce the appointment today of Peter Cole as independent non-executive director of the Company.  

Peter Cole is the Chief Investment Officer of Hammerson plc, the FTSE listed owner, manager and developer of retail destinations in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe and he has been a main board director of Hammerson since October 1999.  Peter is a Chartered Surveyor and during his career with Hammerson has gained a wealth of knowledge across all aspects of investment in and management of real estate.  In addition, he has extensive corporate and governance experience and has sat on the boards of several joint ventures and partnerships on major development and investment projects.

There are no other details to disclose under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in respect of the appointment of Peter Cole.
