Bristol Water plc announces the appointment of Laura Flowerdew as its next Chief Financial Officer replacing Mick Axtell, whose resignation from the Company was announced in November 2017. 

Laura Flowerdew joins Bristol Water from Bristol Energy where she holds the role of Finance Director.  Prior to her role at Bristol Energy, Laura held senior finance positions at Tribal Group Plc and Anglo American Plc. Laura comes with a wealth of experience from her previous roles in AIM and FTSE listed companies and from her time at Deloitte/Arthur Andersen where she was as a Director in their Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities business.

Bristol Water CEO Mel Karam said: "This is an excellent appointment for us and I am looking forward to having Laura on board. We have agreed with Laura a start date of 1 October 2018."

Laura will join the Board of Bristol Water plc after she takes up her role later this year.

It has been agreed that Mick Axtell, the current CFO, will leave the Company after the Financial Statements for 2017/18 are approved by the Board. A further announcement will be released once the effective date is known.
