Preliminary Unaudited Net Asset Value announcement for 31 December 2017

The Board of Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce a preliminary unaudited net asset value of 489.2p per share as at 31 December 2017.

This consists of unlisted investments valued at £67.2m and cash held by the Company of £32.9m.  The preliminary unaudited net asset value has been calculated using the underlying managers' latest valuations (including those received since 31 December 2017), which remain subject to review by the Board of Directors and audit by KPMG LLP.  Based on those valuations, as at 31 December 2017, the Company's unlisted investments were valued at £67.2m.  The Company also held cash of £32.9m as at 31 December 2017. 

In February 2018, 50p per share was returned to shareholders by a second return of capital via a B share issue.  This reduced the preliminary unaudited net asset value per share to 439.2p and the cash held by the Company to £22.6m

The audited net asset value per share will be published around 19 March 2018.

Given the increasing concentration of the portfolio the Board intends to make quarterly preliminary unaudited net asset value announcements prior to an announcement of the finalised unaudited net asset value approved by the Board.
