Sonae – SGPS, SA hereby reports that Sonae RP concluded, on 25 June 2015, the sale and leaseback transaction of the property where Sonae MC operates its Continente hypermarket located in Colombo shopping centre. This transaction totaled 53.6 million euros which is related to an asset with a net book value of 40.4 million euros.

The transactions already completed during 2Q15 amounted to 78.8 million euros, corresponding to assets with a net book value of 57.2 million euros, and were the result of the sale and leaseback of two properties where Sonae MC operates, respectively, a Continente hypermarket and a Continente Modelo store, announced in the 1Q15 earnings announcement, together with the above-mentioned Colombo hypermarket. This has resulted in a Sonae MC freehold of 68%.

These transactions are aligned with Sonae's disclosed strategy concerning the monetisation of its real estate assets, while also maintaining adequate operational flexibility.
