Moody's upgrades Banco BPI's long-term deposit rating to A3

Banco BPI, S.A. informs that the international rating agency Moody's has upgraded Banco BPI long-term deposit rating from Baa1 to A3, following the recent upgrade of the sovereign rating of Portugal. The Outlook of Banco BPI's deposit rating is Stable.

The ratings assigned to Banco BPI and its long-term senior unsecured debt were maintained at Baa2, with Stable outlook.

In support of these ratings, Moody's highlights four essential features of Banco BPI: its asset quality metrics, better than the sector average in Portugal; sound capital levels; adequate funding and liquidity profile; and the support of its sole shareholder, CaixaBank.
