Under the terms and for the purposes provided for in Article 17 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Inapa – Investimentos, Participações e Gestão, S.A. ("Inapa IPG" or the "Company") informs the market, that its subsidiary, Inapa España Distribución de Papel S.A. ("Subsidiary"), submitted yesterday a request for declaration of insolvency ("solicitud de concurso voluntario") to the Commercial Court of Madrid (Juzgado de lo Mercantil de Madrid).

This request is a direct consequence of the declaration of insolvency of Inapa IPG, which was communicated to the market on July 21, as the insolvency of the Company resulted in (among other circumstances which had a negative impact in the Subsidiary's assets) the interruption of paper supply to the Subsidiary, as well as the early maturity of certain lines of credit obtained by the Subsidiary and the recognition, in the equity, of the impairment of amounts receivable by the Subsidiary from Inapa IPG.

The insolvency process of the Subsidiary will proceed in accordance with the provisions outlined in Spanish legislation.
