Material information

CTT – Correios de Portugal, S.A. ("CTT") hereby informs that, following approval by the competent authorities, it has today formalised with Generali Tranquilidade the strategic partnership for Banco CTT, announced at the end of 2022.

The partnership provides for the distribution of life and non-life insurance through Banco CTT's network and the entry of Generali Tranquilidade into Banco CTT's capital through a capital increase of 25 million euros, thus becoming the holder of an 8.71% stake in Banco CTT. The commercialisation of insurance products in the CTT retail network and Banco CTT is already underway and has been very well received.

It should be noted that the terms of the partnership remain as previously announced. The capital increase will reinforce Banco CTT's capital position, translating into a positive impact of approximately 230 basis points on the pro-forma fully loaded CET1 capital ratio reported as at 30 September 2024, and thus support the development of Banco CTT.
