Board changes

Primary Health Properties PLC (the "Company" or "PHP"), the UK's leading investor in modern primary healthcare facilities announces that Alun Jones will retire from the Board and as non-executive Chairman of the Company after the Annual General Meeting scheduled for 18 April 2018 (the "2018 AGM").

Mr Jones will be replaced by Steven Owen, currently Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, who has been a non-executive director since 2014. 

In addition, PHP announces that Dr Ian Rutter and Mark Creedy, who have similarly both given long and valued service on the Board, will also retire as Non-executive directors of the Company at the 2018 AGM and so will not be seeking re-election.  The Board expresses its gratitude to both directors for their valuable service.

Nick Wiles has agreed to take over as Chair of the adviser engagement committee with immediate effect, and will become the Senior Independent Director when Steven Owen becomes Chairman following the 2018 AGM. 

The Board is advanced in the search for additional independent Non-executive Directors and will make a further announcement in due course.
