Appointment of new Non-Executive Director

Smart Metering Systems plc (AIM: SMS.L) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Olsen as Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Ms Olsen, aged 51, is an information technology specialist who has previously held roles as Chief Information Officer with NHS Property Services Ltd and Cushman & Wakefield Ltd, amongst others. Ms Olsen has also held senior roles with Capgemini Plc, Towry Law Ltd  and BAA Plc.

Ms Olsen shall chair a newly created Information Technology Committee of the Board, with a remit to review and provide strategic guidance on development of the Company's technology programmes.
