BANCA MPS: STANDARD ETHICS UPGRADES RATING TO "EE+"

The result demonstrates the commitment and effectiveness of the path taken to fully integrate environmental, social, governance (ESG) factors into the strategy and business model

Siena, 28 February 2025 – Standard Ethics has upgraded Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena's Corporate Standard Ethics Rating (SER) to "EE+" from the previous "EE".

Standard Ethics highlights the strong integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into the company's business strategy. These factors shape the risk monitoring and management systems as well as the bank's operations, including lending, financing and funding.

Standard Ethics has also confirmed that the upgrade to "EE+" (Very Strong) results in the attainment of the Long Term Expected Rating and that the Outlook remains positive.

The Bank is a constituent of the SE Italian Banks Index and the SE European Banks Index.
