Empresaria Group plc ("Empresaria" or the "Group")

Transaction in Own Shares & Total Voting Rights

Empresaria (AIM: EMR), the international specialist staffing group, announces that today, 19 December 2017, it purchased 23,000 of its ordinary shares of 5 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 98 pence per Ordinary Share.

Subject to price and availability, the Group intends to purchase additional Ordinary Shares in the market.  Such purchases will be limited to an aggregate market value of £156,000 and are expected to conclude in January 2018. Further announcements will be made in due course.  

All of the Ordinary Shares purchased will be transferred to the Empresaria Employee Benefit Trust. The Company intends that Ordinary Shares transferred to the Empresaria Employee Benefit Trust will be used to satisfy the exercise of options vested under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan.

Following the above transactions, the Company has 49,019,132 Ordinary Shares in issue, of which 96,500 are held by the Company as treasury shares until they are transferred to the Empresaria Employee Benefit Trust, which is expected to take place by the middle of January 2018. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 48,922,632.
