DIRECTORATE CHANGE

Helical plc today announces that Duncan Walker, Investment Director, has stepped down from the Board as a Director with immediate effect. As a consequence, resolution 7, which seeks to re-elect him as a Director at tomorrow's AGM, will be withdrawn. Under his existing contract, Duncan will cease carrying out his day-to-day activities with immediate effect but remain available in an advisory capacity in regard to the Company's retirement village and regional investment portfolios until the expiry of his notice period.

Gerald Kaye, Chief Executive of Helical, commented on behalf of the Board:

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Duncan for his significant contribution to the Company over the last ten years, the last six as an Executive Director. He has played a key part in the growth of our investment portfolio and, latterly, in the development of our retirement village business. We wish him every success for the future."
