Board Changes

Retirement of Chairman

Eurasia announces that Dr Michael Martineau is retiring from the board after many years of service to the Company. His retirement will take effect from 29 June 2017.

Christian Schaffalitzky, the current Managing Director, will temporarily take up the role of Executive Chairman from this date, supported by non-executive directors Gary Fitzgerald and Dmitry Suschov, until new appointments can be made.

Commenting on the retirement, Managing Director, Christian Schaffalitizky said "Michael was responsible for focusing the business on platinum, initiating a joint venture with Anglo Platinum in 2001 which worked with us for 13 years in Russia and supporting the developments which have led to the opening of the mine at West Kytlim. We are very grateful for his role in leading Eurasia and we wish him well in his retirement".
